I made an amazing chicken pot pie casserole…completely from scratch! Even the pastry puff crust! It was so delish :) The recipe was from Paula Deen…you know that means yummy butter goodness! I found a recipe for Cheesecake Factory’s Pumpkin Cheesecake and let me tell you…it was incredible! I topped it with whipped cream, adorned the sides with pecans and sprinkled a dash of nutmeg on top! Tonight for dessert I made a delicious dish called Ginger Sweet-Potatoes with Nutmeg & Cinnamon Meringue!

It was so simple, I had never made meringue before so I was pretty excited! I always loved watching my grandma Narva make meringue for her pies and made sure we didn’t lick the bowls because of the eggs! Needless to say, I couldn’t resist the urge…I could practically smell that sweet goodness coming from the bowl! There’s something about holiday spices that perk you right up!
